Minnesota is known as the "Land of Ten Thousand Lakes" and visitors flock here each year because it never fails to delight the senses and rejuvenate tired souls. Voyageurs National Park, one of the top destinations in the state, is only a few miles away from the property. Park management has designated 13 sites inside its boundaries for guests to visit that are only accessible aboard a boat. Most of them have historical significance to the reserve and play an important role in its preservation. The Ash River Trail passes through the glamping site and guests need not stray far from their cozy cabins to go fishing, ride a canoe or a kayak, or simply explore the river and forest on foot.
For a truly unique experience in Orr, guests can head out to the Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary which is operated by the American Bear Association. Here, glampers can get an up-close look at the great Black Bear and learn about how a Minnesotan discovered the gentle side of these otherwise fearsome beasts.
