Description of Glamping Units
This comfortable and secluded cabin is located near Long Lake, Minnesota, and can accommodate eight guests. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms are private rooms with queen-size beds—one downstairs, one upstairs. The other bedroom is a dormitory-style room on the second floor with two bunkbeds, which consist of a single and double mattress. Each of the bedrooms has a sink in it, and there is one bathroom on each floor.
In the kitchen, guests will find a refrigerator, a stove, an oven, a dishwasher, a sink, a coffee pot, and a toaster. The living space features an array of armchairs and sofas, as well as a long, picnic table-esque dining table, so guests will be all set for relaxing and sharing meals together. Surrounded by pine trees on the shore of Long Lake in Park Rapids, Minnesota, this cabin site is both a gateway and a destination for guests seeking outdoor recreation, relaxation, and reconnection to nature in the northern wilderness. The lake is located just steps away from the cabin and presents ample opportunities for swimming, boating, fishing, and kicking back on its long sandy beach, with the surrounding woods providing guests with hiking and biking trails to boot.
The surrounding region is filled with forests and hundreds of the lakes from which the “Land of 10,000 Lakes” gets its name. There are many state forests nearby, including Paul Bunyan, Two Inlets, Huntersville, Foot Hills, and Smoke Hills. Also nearby is Itasca State Park, comprising over 32,000 acres of wild landscape. Officially designated as a National Natural Landmark, this park contains the headwaters from which the mighty Mississippi River flows south, along with myriad opportunities for outdoor activities.
Although it feels many miles from civilization, the site is actually just a few miles away from the town of Park Rapids—just two and a half miles, to be exact. At the cabin site, guests will have many options for outdoor recreation on both water and land. On the lake, they can take out one of the hydro bikes, kayaks, canoes, or paddleboats—or even rent a motorized fishing boat, party barge, or jet ski. The lake is a prime location for fishing—and if guests take advantage of it, they can bring back their catch to the on-site fish cleaning house. With its sandy beach and tranquil water, the lake is also fantastic for swimming.
Visitors can go hiking on many trails nearby, and they can also go biking on the Heartland Trail, which extends 49 miles. With Minnesota’s Lake Country Scenic Byway close by, guests can also tour the picturesque landscape via driving. In the surrounding region, guests can visit one of the many state forests or Itasca State Park, where they will find abundant opportunities to hike, fish, canoe, bike, swim, and picnic when the weather is warm, and cross-country ski, snowmobile, and snowshoe when it is cold.
In the town of Park Rapids, just 2.5 miles away, guests will be able to shop, dine, and attend events at the local theaters. They will also be able to go golfing at a number of golf courses in the area, including Headwaters Country Club, Bears Den, and Fair Havens.

Some pets, such as cats, birds, ferrets, and hamsters, are permitted, but dogs are not allowed. Guests are also advised to bring their own towels, soap, cleaners, toilet paper, paper towels, and garbage bags. Additional guests can be accommodated for additional fees.
