This stunning property boasts a prime setting in the welcoming village of Caledonia, nestled in the beautiful Bellevue Valley of southeast Missouri. The bed and breakfast is located in the grand Ruggles-Evans-Dent House, which was built in 1849 on four rural acres right on the main street of Caledonia. For a true touch of luxury, guests will find themselves staying in a property that is listed on the United States Register of Historic Places.
If guests are keen to spend time outside during their getaway, there are countless parks nearby. Elephant Rocks State Park is just 15 minutes away and offers amazing boulder and rock formations to discover. For history lovers, Fort Davidson State Historic Site is a 20-minute drive from the B&B and is the setting of the Civil War Battle of Pilot Knob. Guests should also find time to head to Mark Twain National Forest, which won't be hard since one of the entrances can be found just 10 minutes away.

The village offers countless sites to visit, including their famous Old Village Mercantile, antique shops, and craft stores located on the same block as the B&B. There are also vineyards and wineries to discover in the area.
For hiking and cycling, guests can take their pick between Elephant Rocks State Park, Johnson Shut-Ins, Dillard Mill, Mark Twain National Forest, Washington County State Park, and Hughes Mountain State Natural Area, which are all easily accessible. There are countless spots for scenic picnics and guests can get to know unique wildlife around every turn.
In the spring, Caledonia’s Vintage Market and Wine Show is a wonderful event to pick up vintage clothing and antiques and to sample some delicious food. Guests can also enjoy attending the Mountain Music Festival in nearby Arcadia Valley each May and October.
