The cabin sits on a 107-acre property that stretches out to the Huckleberry Ridge State Forest, which means there are numerous trails that are ideal for horseback riding, hiking, or mountain biking. Huckleberry Ridge has some of the toughest mountain bike trails, which are recommended only for expert riders. For guests who just want to relax and commune with Mother Nature, there are many ideal camping spots in the forest. Another way to explore and have fun in the area is via the Elk River by using a canoe or a kayak, available to rent from Sugar Island Camp. Rafting is also a very relaxing form of water transportation, which allows visitors to just float around and enjoy the view.
