The property adjoins Meramec State Park boundary, with hiking trails, bicycling, river access for swimming, fishing and floating (rafting, kayaking, canoeing, tubing). There are caves, such as Fisher Cave. Meramec Caverns and Onondaga Cave.
The park has a 13-mile network of trails. Missouri has 2 very long trails, with short sections nearby. One is the Ozark Trail, which starts in Leasburg, Mo. only a 25 minute drive to the trail head. It's a really nice hiking trail, in the Ozark Mountains, mostly woods and hilly. The other is the Katy trail, made on an old railroad route, more for bicycles, but hikers are welcome, it runs along the Missouri river. Access to the Katy Trail is to the north side of the Missouri River, at the small town of Dutzow, a 45 minute drive.
There is ziplining at Caveman Zipline, golfing at Sullivan Golf Club, and seeing a variety of wildlife at the Riverside Wildlife Center or Wild Adventures Park in Stanton.
Bird watching and seeing deer can be done from the backyard.
There are breweries and wineries in the area.
