About this place
Cottonwood G is located approximately 1 mile from the park entrance and has a view of the Platte River. Your partially shaded campsite is about a 5-minute hike in from the parking spot. The site features a spacious 10 x 12 platform tent with a queen bed as well as a pop-up tent that can accommodate 4 additional campers. A picnic table, firepit and two Adirondack chairs are also included. There is a camp toilet at your campsite for convenience. Campers will also be able to access modern bathhouses for showers and restrooms at the park but these facilities are some distance from the tent. And, if the temperature dips, you can keep warm with the propane heater inside the main platform tent.
The Space:
Perfect for families or anyone who enjoys Lake Life, this park is less than 45 minutes from Omaha and Lincoln.
Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While the host does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property.
If a Camp Guide submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper’s property, the host reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!
Other Things to Note:
Check-in is at 3 pm and campers must also purchase a Nebraska Park Permit online at https://ngpc-home.ne.gov for the duration of their stay (or use an existing annual park permit). Park permits must be affixed (taped) to the lower left corner of the windshield with the permit facing out to be valid.
Water playground tickets cost $18 for a 90-minute session and are sold on a first-come-first-serve basis. Tickets for children ages 6+ are sold for 3 timeslots: 12 pm, 2 pm, and 4 pm. Trash must be thrown away in the designated dumpster at the end of your stay.
Beds in the canvas tents have memory foam mattresses but be sure to bring your own bedding, food, and firewood. The pop-up tent comes packed.
No running water at this site but a 5-gallon water jug is provided.
Please note that there are train lines in the area and you will hear trains at night. Anything you pack in, you must pack out. Pets are allowed.
All sites are inspected for damages and cleanliness after each use and before the next renter. Failure to follow these guidelines can result in a minimum cleaning fee of $50
