The rental provides guests with a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining area, a living room, and a separate area with a washing machine and a dryer. The kitchen comes complete with a coffeemaker, dishware, a microwave and an oven. In addition, there is a stove and a toaster provided. For entertainment, guests will find a living space with a large flat-screen television with Dish Network and a gas fireplace. Off to the side of the living area, guests will have a dining table for four and bar stools for up to two guests.
Outside, there is a grassy garden for guests to enjoy some lawn games together, and a fire pit to light up in the evenings for toasting some s'mores and swapping some stories. There is a non-gas-motor lake at the end of the dirt road, and although the host does not provide canoes, kayaks, or ATVs, there is an area for all of these activities.

Guests can enjoy outstanding fishing on the Ohio River, where they will find the perfect piers and pavilions to catch their dinner. At the end of March, the state stocks the reservoir with thousands of trout, as well as copious amounts of game fish. Close to Piedmont, Salt Fork, Wolf Run and Monroe Lake, this area is full to the brim with outdoor activities. and various wildlife areas. Guests can enjoy evenings around the fire pit area for cooking their catch or just kicking back and stargazing.
Seneca Lake is also close by, providing guests with everything from wine trails and local breweries, to the Geneva History Museum and the impressive Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge. Additionally, Seneca Lake boasts some of the best restaurants in the area. If hunting is what guests would like, there are thousands of acres within 20 miles of the retreat. For shopping, Barnesville has plenty of antique shops to visit and several craft stores. Lastly, there is a creek with bridges and mature trees on these foothills of Appalachia so the kids can run free to play, and there is even a playhouse for them.
