This cozy cabin is located in Rapid City, South Dakota, and features luxury interiors and views. This rental has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and can accommodate up to four guests. One bedroom has a king-size bed, and the second bedroom has a queen-size bed. Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. Deluxe bedding and towels are provided.
The large open great room features a natural rock fireplace and a flat-screen TV with cable and satellite. The recently renovated fully-equipped kitchen comes with a refrigerator, a stove, an oven, a toaster, a coffeemaker, a dishwasher, and utensils. Other amenities include a washer/dryer, Wi-Fi, and a selection of books and games.

The cabin is located in a small community just off scenic Rimrock Highway called Hisega. This rental has a great central location in the Black Hills, South Dakota, just 15 minutes from Rapid City and approximately 30 to 45 minutes to all tourist destinations such as Keystone, Mt. Rushmore, Hill City, Crazy Horse, Custer, and Deadwood. Whether guests are looking to hike and explore, shop and sightsee, or just relax on the huge 40-feet covered deck overlooking the creek, this cabin will make any stay most enjoyable. There are a number of activities and attractions to visit and do in the surrounding area. Rapid City Regional Airport is the closest airport to this glamping site and is roughly 40 minutes away. Mt. Rushmore is ideal to explore the Sculptor’s Studio & the Lincoln Borglum Museum. There is also a nice restaurant that overlooks the Presidents, a gift shop and they have absolutely fantastic ice cream! For guests who are visiting there in the evening, it is highly recommended to see the Lighting Ceremony, a patriotic program at 9 p.m.
Crazy Horse Memorial is definitely not a sight to be missed on a visit to this area. The mission of the memorial is to protect and preserve the culture, tradition and living heritage of the North American Indian. Don’t miss the 20-minute video in the Center and the many displays, restaurant and gift shop. For those who are visiting the Black Hills on either the first weekend in June or the last weekend in September, the kind folks at Crazy Horse allow visitors to climb to the top where they can actually stand in front of Crazy Horse’s face – a great photo opportunity!
Guests can take a drive through Custer State Park where the scenery alone is one of a kind. Guests shouldn´t miss Sylvan Lake and the Needles Highway. The park is famous for its bison herds, scenic drives, historic sites, and hiking trails. Guests can swim, fish, or kayak in one of Custer State Park’s five scenic lakes. It is recommended for lunch or dinner at the Custer State Game Lodge (President Calvin Coolidge’s “summer white house”). Those who are visiting the last weekend in September shouldn´t miss the annual Buffalo Round-up, where they can watch cowboys as they roundup and drive the herd of approximately 1,300 buffalo.
The entire city of Deadwood is on the National Historic Register and its extensive Victorian architecture is unique to the West. Head over to Saloon #10 and see the chair Wild Bill Hickok’s was sitting in when he met his fate. Those feeling lucky can gamble in one of the many casinos and can check out the many events going at the Deadwood Mountain Grand.
The quaint, little town of Hill City is best known for its fine art galleries, museums, and wineries. It is also home to the Museum at Black Hills Institute where visitors can view an extensive collection of dinosaurs including “Stan”, one of the most complete Tyrannosaurus Rex ever found. Guests who love railroads can visit the South Dakota Railroad Museum. A ride on the 1880 train is a fun family excursion. Glampers can go to Prairie Berry Winery (home of the famous “Red Ass Rhubarb” wine) for free wine tasting, followed by lunch or dinner at the Alpine Inn, a charming little German restaurant.
Guests can visit downtown Rapid City starting at Main Street Square for many great shops and restaurants. The President’s Trivia Tour and the Summer Nights event happening every Thursday night during the summer. Storybook Island a fun place for kids, and it’s free.
For guests visiting in August, be sure to check out the famous Sturgis Motorcycle rally and enjoy cruising around on a motorcycle, live music, and hangin’ with other bikers!
Take a drive through scenic Spearfish Canyon. Its narrow, 1,000-foot walls are among the most spectacular scenery in the Black Hills and are more ancient than the Grand Canyon. It is also a spectacular place to explore by foot with several walking paths and hiking trails.
Discover the rugged beauty of the Badlands where glampers will see striking geologic deposits that contain one of the world’s richest fossil beds. Take a drive through the park with a stop for lunch and shopping at Cedar Pass Lodge or hike one of the trails then lunch at Wall Drug!
