There is plenty to do in the surrounding area. The White River Marsh State Wildlife Area encompasses 12,000 acres of natural refuge, with ample opportunity for hunting, fishing, birding, and off-trail hiking. The Grand River State Wildlife Area has a great deal of wildlife, including an extensive array of waterfowl and ducks. It is perfect for anyone who loves watersports, as it is ideally suited for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and powerboating. The nearby town of Coloma also has a wide range of attractions. The Clauson Family Music Show is of particular note. The musicians play a diverse array of music and the band consists of an outstanding pianist, bass player, banjo, guitars, and drummer. There are also girls who dance traditional styles such as ballet and jazz. The Coloma Rough Cut Saloon is a traditional Old West bar that is well worth a visit.
