Vintage Airstream from 1965 for Glamping in Wisconsin
Weekend getaways in Wisconsin | Luxury camping in nature
This 1965 vintage Airstream is a perfect getaway for those looking jump back in time while having all the amenities of modern glamping in Wisconsin. Hop back into sixties and experience mid-century camping and decor! Perfect for a small family or friends getaway, four can sleep in this renovated camper itself.
This vintage glamping camper affords guests much more than just another shelter in nature; the Airstream camper will help you create lifelong memories and a sense of nostalgic adventure. Guests can enjoy nature without having to pack all of their stuff!
This camper is outfitted with one full bed (the couch mattresses lay down into a full bed) and two single beds. It also has a food prep area with a microwave and fridge (no water or stove) and a changing room (for bathroom, guests use the bathhouse). Outdoors is home to a gas grill (tank included), Edison lights, a picnic table, and a fire pit. This summer hosts are adding wood swings and hammocks throughout the campgrounds as well. This camper also provides basic electricity for charging wall lights, phones, laptops, fans, COPD machines, and other low-powered appliances, etc. There is parking for one vehicle with overflow parking available at the bathhouse.
Included amenities in rental rate: this is more than a campgrounds, it is a resort. Part of what makes it so special is the amenities included with the glamping campsite rental. The base rates include more amenities than guests would expect from any other Northwoods campground experience, including access to:
- On-Site amenities: a grill, a picnic table, outdoor lighting, and a fire pit.
- Access to common spaces/amenities: hammocks, a bathhouse, a rec building, a kids clubhouse (closed summer 2021 for repairs), a laundry room, and a fishhouse.
- Access to outdoor amenities: beach/docks, a basketball court, a playground, sand volleyball, horseshoes, ring toss, trails
- Use of non-motorized boats (free): first-come-first-serve for kayaks, canoes, paddle boats, and row boats.
A pontoon and fishing boats are available for rent on-site. There is also a general store on site for guests' needs selling bait, frozen meals, pantry items, beer/wine/spirits, other beverages, toiletries, ice, and firewood. There is high-speed WiFi throughout the main resort (area next to the campgrounds) as well as great ATT and Verizon cell service, so if guests need to send an email or stream a movie in the rec room on a rainy day, we've got you covered.
Fantastic family fun and amenities: we've got you covered with all of the on-site amenities imaginable, boat and winter sport rentals, and high-speed Wi-Fi. We are located on 15 deeply wooded acres and the shores of the 3,000 acre North Twin Lake—waters with excellent "Class A" musky, walleye, bass, and panfish fishing. Within minutes drive guests will find rounds of golf, biking on paved trails, horseback riding, zip lining, waterfalls to explore, and thrilling go-kart rides. Or, if you are after terrific swimming in the clear waters off the sandy beach, canoeing or kayaking, hiking on on-site trails, snowmobiling, ice fishing, sitting around a crackling campfire...or just plain old relaxation, this resort is the place for you! Your wilderness adventure awaits!
Bathrooms and water: the campground boasts a new air-conditioned restroom trailer with four private bathrooms with sinks, hot showers, and toilets. Hosts clean it twice daily and have left Lysol and disinfectant spray in each unit in the event guests want to spray them down ahead of use. A water station is available on the exterior of the bathhouse.
Orientation: nature and the deep woods are THE place to be—we are excited to host you at the resort! The resort is open and following the state's health and safety directive for lodging and camping businesses, working to further ensure guests' stay is as healthy and as fun as can be! Hosts have purposely kept the campgrounds rustic to minimize disturbing the woods—they took down as few trees as possible to keep the forest intact. Glamping at this site isn't typical Northwoods seclusion—campsites are cozy but not as close to each other as an RV park. We feel the amenities on-site and the beauty of the forest and surrounding area more than make up for the snug nature of the campgrounds. With this goal, there isn't enough turnaround for most RVs, travel trailers, and boat trailers in the campgrounds.
Pets: pets are not allowed in the campgrounds to keep sounds to a minimum.
Quiet hours: this is a family-oriented campground, and we ask everyone to respect the relaxing nature of the woods. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am daily.

We are a dog-friendly resort between fall and spring (Labor Day Weekend through Memorial Day Weekend), and therefore we do allow dogs in our resort in some units (Cabins 1, 3, 10, and 11). Pets are not allowed in the campgrounds to keep sounds to a minimum for neighboring guests.
Aggressive pets are not welcome.
We charge a $10/day fee per pet. This fee does not cover damage caused by your dog.
There is a $50 fee for not cleaning up after your dog (this includes pet hair remaining on furniture post-checkout). ANY damage, including significant hair on furniture or bedding, will be subject to additional charges. Each dog-friendly unit is furnished with cleaning supplies to clean up after them including a vacuum, floor mop, and broom. Sheets to cover the couches and futons are available upon request. If any damages are incurred from dogs’ behavior, owners will be required to pay for them with the credit card on file at the office.

We cater to families and strive to provide an upscale family vacation rental experience. Renters agree to abide by our resort rules that are provided to you upon arrival.
The number of persons occupying your accommodation shall not exceed the number stated on your reservation. If additional persons are added after your reservation is secured you must inform us upon arrival and charges will be added as necessary. Guests may be subject to cancellation/penalties if numbers exceed confirmed occupants listed. This is a violation of the rental agreement.
Due to current occupancy and airspace state health regulations (WI ATCP 72.14), only three adults are allowed to sleep in the bedrooms with two sets of bunk beds. This applies to every unit with bunk beds within the resort. However, bedrooms with two bunk beds are sized to sleep four children under the age of 12 or have two children and one adult sleep safely.
The resort does its best to keep the grounds maintained during winter months. However, it does snow quite a bit and a plow service is not always available at a moment’s notice. We recommend guests recognize weather conditions are outside of our control and to drive vehicles with good tires (not bald) as well as vehicles with all-wheel or 4-wheel drive. If contractors (ie for plowing) need to be hired to help with guest vehicles with inadequate tires, etc., the charges will be incurred by the guest.
One boat slip is provided per cabin as a part of the rental fee. Additional boat slips are available for a fee on a first-come-first-serve reservation basis. Docks are available (installed and removed) as weather and staff time permits between approximately early May to late October.
Visitors are welcome between 8am and 6pm. Every guest of POV Resort may have one visitor, but they must register upon arrival at the office. If visitors do not follow the guidelines of the resort they may be asked to leave.
Resort quiet hour is from 10:00pm to 8:00am. This means no loud noises after 10pm. All music must be completely turned off.
Alcohol consumption on the property is allowed with moderation only. We are a family-oriented, peaceful resort, catering to those that want an enjoyable vacation experience.
There is no smoking allowed in any cabins of ANY kind. Smoking is only allowed in designated areas on the property, and we kindly ask that all cigarette butts are disposed of in the trash.
There is no fishing cleaning allowed within any of the cabins. Fish are to be disposed at the fish cleaning station – see instructions.
Snowmobiles, UTVs, ATVs: Snowmobiles, UTVs, and ATVs are welcome on the property as long as they drive on designated driveways and paths. They are to be parked in designated areas to both protect the grounds as well as the septic system. There is a 5mph speed limit on the grounds.
Trailers are also welcome to the property and may be parked in designated parking areas.
In an effort to make the resort as easy and as inclusive as possible for guests (so less packing!) resort owners provide kitchen and bath linens and towels for INDOOR use only for cabin guests. They are not to be brought outside or to the beach.
We are located in the woods and your cell phone may not work at our resort (although we do get good ATT and Verizon service here).
We do have high-speed wifi available in the main area of the resort grounds around the cabins. That being said, the resort is about relaxing and enjoying the Northwoods - so some IP addresses and websites may not be available. The password is posted in each cabin, the Lodge Room, and at various other locations around the resort.
All our cabins and campsites have fire rings and there is firewood for sale at our office. Each cabin receives a complimentary bundle of firewood upon check-in. We enforce all local burn bans, and only local firewood is to be used.
