This glamping site boasts plenty of facilities and amenities to ensure guests have the utmost enjoyable and comfortable vacation stay. In the cabin, glampers will find a fully furnished kitchen, linens, and bedding. For added rest and relaxation, there are no phones in the rental. There is also a basic satellite TV, a VCR, and an air conditioner and central high-speed internet access. Glampers can enjoy a delicious meal cooked on the charcoal barbecue grill at their own cabin.
There is an indoor heated pool with open swimming from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Kids can bring their small pool toys. Swim/exercise is from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. for adults only. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Children can play on the large playground with old fashioned equipment including swings, slides, teeter totter, merry-go-round, jungle gym, spring animals, sandbox, volleyball, picnic tables, and central campfire area. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
There is also a coin-operated guest laundry system available. Restaurants, lounges, and groceries are all nearby, and people with over 40 years of first-hand knowledge of the area are always close and able to advise guests on where to go and what to do.

Located in the heart of the San Juan National Forest of the great Rocky Mountains, this fun and adventurous glamping site is located 15 miles north of Bayfield, Colorado, and 23 miles northeast of Durango. It overlooks beautiful Vallecito Lake. Mesa Verde National Park is a two-hour drive and offers plenty of attractions for guests. The site is also just over an hour away from Pagosa Springs. There are a number of different activities available in and around this glamping site, including fishing, hiking, and skiing. The marinas offer canoes, fishing boats, pontoon boats, buoy service, and fishing gear for rent. Bait, tackle, and gas are also available for sale. A large public boat ramp is available for guests' convenience.

There are many different activities that guests can take part in around this glamping site, so they will never be short of things to do and sights to see here. Horseback rides are available here at Vallecito for one hour, two hours, a half day or all day. Glampers can also enjoy a breakfast or dinner ride. Reservations can usually be made after arrival unless one desires something out of the ordinary.
Glampers must ensure they bring their cameras and binoculars on the many hiking opportunities as the scenery is spectacular. Much of the land here at Vallecito Lake is in the San Juan National Forest and Weminuche Wilderness. Trails are abundant ranging from those that follow the shoreline of Vallecito Lake to Lake Eileen Trail (two miles uphill to a beautiful meadow and lily covered lake). There are two major trailheads, Vallecito and Pine River, where guests can hike for miles and miles in the most magnificent mountains imaginable.
Glampers are invited to pack up their mountain Bikes and ATV's and ride off into the Beautiful San Juan Mountains. Ride the roads and trails on Middle Mountain, Lemon Lake, and Bever Meadows and then head off towards Silverton and Engineer Mountain.
Vallecito is approximately five miles long and one and a half miles wide, boasting fishing for Kokanee Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Great Northern Pike with an occasional Small Mouth Bass or Walleye Perch for the exceptionally skilled and lucky fisherman.
Colorado boasts some of the finest big game hunting in the world. Vallecito Lake offers a vast amount of public lands within the San Juan National Forest and Weminuche Wilderness area for guests to hunt. There are numerous trails and access roads to take them up into the mountains. A short drive takes guests to Beaver Meadows, Sauls Creek, Spring Creek, Lemon Lake and other locations for more hunting. From high mountains and rugged terrain to lower elevations and open foothills, it will be easy to find plenty of public land for hunting.
Vallecito is a magnificent place in the winter for snowmobiles, cross-country skiing, sledding, playing in the snow, or just curling up by the fire. For children and those who are still young at heart, we also have snowshoes for rent for the entire family. Purgatory Ski Area is approximately a one and a half hour drive from the glamping site and Durango now has an indoor skating rink. The site also furnishes sleds and saucers to play in the snow here at the lodge or around the lake.

Pets are more than welcome at this glamping site for an additional fee but must not to be left unattended inside or outside the cabin at any time.
Tents, campers, trailers, or motorhomes are not allowed on the premises for sleeping.
