Description of Glamping Units
This tiny house rental is located on a 35-acre solar ranch near Monte Vista, Colorado, and can accommodate two guests in a one-of-a-kind dwelling that has been featured in multiple publications, including Faerie Magazine. Inside, they will find a single studio-style space that combines a bedroom with a kitchenette, dining area, and full bathroom. The tiny house was hand-built by the hosts with cordwood and recycled wine and beer bottles, which provide it with unique and colorful stained-glass-window-like accents throughout the interior.
The sleeping area features a cozy, queen-size bed. In the bathroom, guests will find a toilet, a sink, and a shower. Linens, towels, and shampoo are provided. The kitchenette comes with a small refrigerator, a two-burner stove, a granite countertop, a French press, and a supply of ground, organic coffee. Inside the tiny house, guests will enjoy a kitchenette, a dining area, a television with a DVD player, and heating. Outside, they will find a patio area with seating and a table with chairs, as well as an adult-sized swing set.
Guests are provided with supplies to make a breakfast of oatmeal, raisins, and coffee, as well as fresh eggs from the hosts' chickens when they are available.
Location + Surroundings
This tiny house is located on a 35-acre ranch in Del Norte, Colorado, where it is surrounded by a wide-open landscape full of peaceful meadows studded with verdant shrubs and craggy outcroppings. From the ranch, guests can enjoy views of the San Juan Mountains and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. It is situated in a valley in which there are only two other homesteads. The hosts live further up on the ranch, along with six dogs, seven cats, chickens, a turkey, four miniature ponies, and four goats, who guests can see from the windows of the tiny house.
Immediately to the west, guests will find Rio Grande National Forest. Covering 1.83 million acres of wilderness, the forest encompasses many different ecosystems, ranging from foothills covered in pinyon pine and juniper trees to alpine tundra. Within the forest, about an hour to the southwest, guests will find the Wolf Creek Ski Area. The Continental Divide Trail also cuts through the forest and runs by the ranch.
Downtown Del Norte is about 20 minutes to the south, where guests will find shops and restaurants, more of which can be found in the neighboring towns of South Fork and Monte Vista. The site is about four hours from Denver, where the nearest international airport is located. Read More

Guests will find trails for hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and horseback riding in Rio Grande National Forest, including the Continental Divide Trail, which runs by the ranch. They will also find 300 sport climbing routes in the Penitente Canyon Special Recreation Management Area. For mountain climbing, guests can head to the West Frisco Trail. For skiing and snowboarding, they can visit the Wolf Creek Ski Area. They will find options for shopping and dining in downtown Del Norte.

Smoking is not permitted inside the tiny house. Pets are allowed with an additional nightly fee per pet. There is also an additional cleaning fee.
The host provides 20% off the total stay when a guest stays for a month at both of her accommodations.
