Grand Mesa

Located in western Colorado, Grand Mesa is a majestic mountain open to all types of adventure. Known as the largest flattop mountain in the world, Grand Mesa makes up about 40 miles east of Grand Junction and is at an elevation of about 6,000 feet tall. Take a drive through the Mesa Scenic Byway, with 63 miles of breathtaking views campers here can take in all of the surrounding plains and mountains. In the summer, Grand Mesa is plush with wildflowers and buzzing with wildlife, a perfect place to practice your photography skills. While in the winter, the local ski area Powderhorn, offers downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing. Whether you're hiking, biking, or just passing by, Grand Mesa certainly does not disappoint.
