It is not only known as the "Last Great Colorado Ski Town" as it also offers an amazing shopping experience with its prominent Victorian architecture within the ever popular Crested Butte's national historic district.
ESPN ranked the Gunnison River as "the best overall freestone trout river in America". The famous blue ribbon waters of the Gunnison River offer trophy brown, rainbow, and cutthroat trout literally within 50 feet of the rental. Within 30 minutes drive guests can also be on the Taylor River, East River, Spring Creek, Lake Fork of the Gunnison, or Blue Mesa Reservoir. The possibilities are simply endless. Also, if guests happen to stay in the September-November timeframe they can catch the Kokanee salmon in the river as they make their way upstream to the Roaring Judy hatchery.

About 28 miles away from Gunnison, guests will find amazing waterfall hikes in Crested Butte, a town known better as Colorado’s “wildflower” capital. Judd Falls is a wonderful hike for all skill levels with gorgeous views of the falls for all to enjoy.
