Hooper

Hooper is a small town located in the heart of Colorado's famous San Luis Valley, which is home to 3,000 acres of public land which covers flat prairies, sparkling mountain streams, geothermal wells feeding hot springs, authentic rodeos, motocross and auto races, trains and historic small towns filled with unique history and culture. Hooper, in particular, has something quite unusual: the UFO Watchtower, as the San Luis Valley is well-known as one of the best places in the world to see UFOs. Whether you believe in extraterrestrial life or not, it's a quirky site worth a look. Nearby are the San Juan and Sangre de Cristo Mountain Ranges, ideal for hiking. And of course, the famous Great Sand Dunes are close by as well.
