This luxury vacation rental is located in Mountain Village, Colorado, around 15 minutes away from the ski resorts and golf courses in Telluride. The cabin is tucked within the thick pine trees nestled at the base of the snow-capped San Juan Mountains, surrounded by the peace and quiet serenity of Colorado's untouched wilderness while still being close to the hustle and bustle of Telluride. It can accommodate up to seven guests, perfect for couples looking for a romantic retreat to the mountains, or families in search of adventure in Colorado.

The property is divided between the main cabin and a guest house. When guests arrive at the main house, they will be greeted by the spacious, western-style living room. The living room is adorned with exposed timber beams, repurposed oil lamps, and a high vaulted ceiling. After a day in the mountains, guests can warm up with a mug of cocoa by the artistically carved, floor-to-ceiling stone gas fireplace, or lounge on the comfortable leather sofa and watch a DVD on the flat-screen TV. They can take a book from the library and curl up on the cozy armchair, or just admire the spectacular views of the mountains soaring over the pine trees.

The living room opens up to a home office with a desk, an iMac computer, and a printer and fax machine. Guests are free to use the office for any business emails or work projects they need to catch up on during their stay. The living room also opens up to a fully-equipped kitchen and an elegant dining area. The kitchen contains a fridge, a stove and oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a toaster. There are also two coffeemakers, and plenty of dishes and cooking utensils for guests to use. The formal dining table seats up to six guests on unique chairs made of unfinished wood, while the breakfast bar in the kitchen seats up to two.

In the master bedroom, couples can watch a movie on the flat-screen TV, or drink wine on a private patio overlooking the evergreens, before falling asleep on the plush king-size bed. The master bathroom includes a copper, Western-style bathtub with a separate glass steam shower, as well as a toilet and a double vanity with copper sinks. In the second bedroom, children can sleep on the pair of comfortable twin-size beds, or play outside on the private patio. The second bedroom also has its own full bathroom, with a toilet, a sink, and another glass shower. Both the master and the kids' bedrooms also contain a dresser and a closet.

The guest house features another bedroom, a kitchen, and a lounge area. Couples can sleep on the queen-size bed, and additional guests can sleep on the leather sofa that pulls into a full-size bed. They can watch a movie or game on the flat-screen TV, or curl up by the gas fireplace. The kitchen includes a fridge, a stove and oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a coffeemaker. The breakfast bar can seat up to three guests. The full bathroom includes another toilet, set of copper sinks, and a glass shower. Guests will love its unique decor that echoes the area's old mining town heritage, with its exposed timber wall and vintage light fixtures.

All of the beds come with soft luxury linens, and all bathrooms provide fresh towels. Other amenities include heating and air conditioning, wireless Internet, cable and satellite, a washer and dryer, a stereo, and a wet bar.

Between the main cabin and the guest house, couples or families can spend their evenings out on the patio. They can cook dinners on the BBQ grill, or just sit back on the nice patio furniture, breathe in the fresh, pine-scented mountain air, and listen to the babbling brook rushing by the lodge or the doves singing in the forest. After a long day of climbing in the Rockies or skiing in Telluride, guests can relax with a warm soak in the private hot tub and watch the sunset over the evergreens and dramatic, snow-capped peaks.

The property is divided between the main rental and a guest house. A patio with a private hot tub sits between the main house and the guest house. The patio also includes an outdoor lounge and a BBQ grill.

Guests will have access to free Wi-Fi inside both parts of the lodge. They are free to use the iMac computer, printer, and fax machine in the main house's office. There is a gas fireplace in the living room in the main rental and another gas fireplace in the guest house. All TVs are equipped with cable and satellite. The master bathroom in the main house features a sauna. Both houses also come with fully-equipped kitchens and dining areas. Inside the main house, there is a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer. Guests can park in the wide driveway or the two-car garage.

Guests can spend the day in Telluride, one of Colorado's most popular and historic resort towns. A former mining town from the Victorian Era set in between box canyons and thick pine forests, Telluride offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventure with its many upscale ski resorts and golf courses. Guests can go downhill or cross-country skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling down the Rocky Mountains, or ride ski lifts for spectacular photos of the rugged, untouched alpine wilderness. Between golfing and skiing, they can get massages or soak in hot springs at local day spas, or shop and dine in downtown Telluride. Guests can also learn about the town's rich mining and frontier history at the Telluride Historical Museum. Additionally, guests can go hiking, climbing, and rappelling in nearby peaks like Mount Sneffels, or along the waterfalls at Bridal Veil Falls.

For more fun in Telluride, guests can spend an afternoon in Town Park. Town Park is a campground with a swimming pool, a fishing pond, a set of playgrounds, and courts for tennis, basketball, and volleyball. There are scenic nature trails where guests can walk, ride bikes, take photos, and view wildlife, as well as an ice skating rink open in the wintertime. During warmer months, guests can ride hot air balloons for more breathtaking views of the forests, canyons, and snow-capped mountains.

Mountaineers can venture into the San Juan Mountains surrounding the lodge for more hiking and rock climbing, as well as backpacking and mountain biking. They can canoe, kayak, and raft along the whitewater rapids in the San Miguel River, or go fishing and boating in nearby alpine lakes.

Guests can take day trips to either Uncompahgre National Forest or San Juan National Forest. At both parks, guests can hike, bike, and ride horses through dense pine forests, rocky plateaus, and rugged peaks. They can fish on lakes or streams, and view wildlife like elk, moose, bighorn sheep, and mountain goats. Guests can go climbing and rappelling in the Rockies and San Juan Mountains. In the winter, both parks open special slopes and alpine trails for cross-country skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling, as well as sledding and snow tubing. Guests with valid licenses are allowed to hunt for big game like mountain lions and black bears, or smaller game like ducks or turkeys.
