The road may be impassable in some winter weather conditions. Guests must check the local weather conditions, and last-minute cancellations are allowed for bad weather.
The suite features one bedroom which has a full-size bed outfitted with crisp sheets to ensure a restful night’s sleep after a long day hiking or skiing down the powdery slopes. There is also a table with seating for two, along with a mini-fridge, and a tea and coffeemaker. The simple outhouse-style bathroom is located outside of the accommodation. The toilets are not flushing nor compost toilets, and the sink is located outside of the outhouse is uncovered and does not have hot water. Linens and towels are provided.

This rustic retreat is located on a private south facing slope that is surrounded by national forest and two miles from the hip little village of Nederland, Colorado, and only eight miles from the modern Eldora Mountain Alpine ski resort. Four miles away Indian Peaks Wilderness is located, which offers great hiking trails. This rustic town offers a diverse variety of restaurants and pubs, and the live music scene is downright amazing.
The view from the cabin is stunning and there are many secret trails that start right here. The spectacular trails and vistas of the Indian Peaks Wilderness are only three miles away, and Caribou Ranch Open Space is about five miles away. These trails provide good alpine touring and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. Rocky Mountain National Park is about 50 miles away and boasts countless trails, mountains, creeks, and lakes for glampers to explore.
The trendy city of Boulder is only 20 miles away, while Denver is 50 miles away. Guests should be aware that when in the winter season, the weather is variable. The cabin is located at 9,000 feet elevation, and part of the road is 16% grade, so an all-wheel-drive (AWD) vehicle with good tires may be needed. Guests must also be aware that there is a 75-yard trail to the cabin that may be a bit icy. Ski poles will be provided for walking.
