Sitting near a canyon ledge overlooking spectacular mountain and forest scenery, this vacation rental is located just steps away to one of the entrances of San Juan National Forest and a short drive to downtown Pagosa Springs. The accommodation offers guests a peaceful retreat for friends and families in outstanding natural beauty and within close proximity to an array of outdoor activities that will please adventurers and nature lovers alike.
The vacation rental has three bedrooms including a master bedroom that includes a king-size bed with hand-hewn upholstery, wardrobes, and drawers as well as sublime views of the quarter-mile wide canyon. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed while the third bedroom comes with a bunk bed that features a double-size mattress below and a twin bed on top. All the rooms are bright and spacious with plenty of storage space and access to two full bathrooms. The master bathroom includes a walk-in shower and tub as well as a double vanity while the second features a bath, shower, hand basin, and a toilet. Guests also have access to a half bathroom for extra convenience.
The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the living area provide guests with incredible views of the canyon as well as lots of natural light during the day. Guests can sit back on comfortable leather seating in front of a stone fireplace and enjoy a movie night in thanks to the 36” flat-screen TV that comes with surround sound speakers. Guests can spend meal times together around the dining table for six that sits behind the leather sofa and adjacent to the modern fully equipped kitchen that is ideal for preparing home-cooked meals. There is a large granite surface for food preparation while the appliances are all brand new and there is a stylish breakfast bar where guests can have their morning coffees while organizing the day’s activities. Upstairs, guests can unwind to the sound of live music in the second living area where there is a Yamaha digital piano, an acoustic guitar, and a set of bongos or chill out in front of a second 36” television on the sleeper sofa.
The backyard patio is the perfect spot to take in the sun and listen to the soothing sounds of nature with plenty of seating and a table provided while, in the evening, the lack of light pollution offers wonderful stargazing opportunities allowing guests to end the day in true glamping fashion.
The cabin is kept warm and cozy throughout the colder months thanks to the fireplace as well as the central heating while the air conditioning keeps the cabin comfortable in the summer. Guests have access to a washing machine and a dryer should they wish to do laundry during their stay. There is an upstairs balcony that provides phenomenal views of the forest and guests may use the two-car garage below. Free Wi-Fi and satellite TV can be found throughout the property and the hosts have provided three mountain bikes, tennis rackets, and a set of golf clubs for extra entertainment.

Guests have easy access to the San Juan Forest with one of the entrances just a short walk away from the cabin. Guests can explore the forest by hiking or biking along miles of its trails or trek through the Rocky Mountains while passing waterfalls, rivers, old mines, and ghost towns. Guests can visit the Chimney Rock National Monument, which is a spectacular geological structure in the San Juan National Forest on a protected archaeological site. Boating, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing opportunities can be found at the impressive Navajo State Park where wildlife viewing is also a major attraction.
In Pagosa Springs itself, guests can relax in one of the many spas with geothermal springs that are said to have therapeutic properties including the world’s deepest hot spring. Wolf Creek Ski Resort offers superb downhill slopes for skiing and snowboarding while a short and fairly easy hike to Treasure Falls ends with a spectacular waterfall.
