However, there is more to Snowmass Village and the surrounding area than just skiing; the slopes of the resort provide an excellent setting for mountain biking in the summer, and the surrounding area is brimming with other recreational opportunities throughout the year. Many of them can be found in White River National Forest, which encompasses two million acres of natural splendor laced with more than 2,500 miles of trails and home to an abundance of wildlife, including deer, elk, moose, and mountain goats.
In downtown Snowmass Village and nearby Aspen, guests will find a variety of restaurants, shops, museums, art galleries, and outdoor adventure outfitters. The rental is about three hours and 45 minutes from Denver, where the nearest international airport is located.

At Aspen Snowmass Ski Resort, guests can go skiing and snowboarding on 94 trails totaling 150 miles and 3,300 acres of skiable area. In the summer, they can also go mountain biking on the resort's slopes.

Here, they can enjoy hiking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, Jeeping, ice climbing, and dog sledding. With more than 2,500 miles of trails to explore in the forest alone, guests will have a nearly inexhaustible range of options.
For water-based recreation, guests can go whitewater rafting, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and fly fishing on the Arkansas River and Roaring Fork River.
