Guests of this idyllic retreat can enjoy the beauty of southern Colorado without the disruption of big tourist groups or crowded attractions. On the hilltop, glampers can wake up with a cup of coffee and admire the views of the Spanish Peaks to the west with all of Pinon Valley spreading out below the cabin’s elevated perch. With Monument Lake, North Lake, and Purgatorie Creek so close by, glampers can easily grab their fishing gear and go trout fishing for hours at a time. There are also a number of hiking trails leading up to the top of the Spanish Peaks as well as a few more leisurely paths in the Spanish Peak State Wildlife Area near the cabin.

In Weston, glampers can grab a bite to eat in one of the town restaurants or go for a tour of the Holladay Distillery, Pirtle Winery, or Historic Weston Orchard & Vineyard. In any of the towns of Cuchara, Stonewall, or LaVeta, guests can enjoy a good meal or a stroll through the historic town centers. Great Sand Dunes National Park and Rio Grande National Forest are both about two hours away to the west.
