Charming Yurt Nestled in Unaweep Canyon near Grand Junction, Colorado
Nestled away in Unaweep Canyon near Grand Junction, Colorado, this charming yurt is encircled by lush wildlife and well equipped for a luxurious camping retreat. The yurt is 760 square feet with all the modern essentials guest would expect in a luxury hotel. Up to eight guests can enjoy a vacation here. There is a full bathroom with a toilet, a sink, and a shower. Fresh linens and towels are provided.
Inside, guests will find a modest but fully-equipped kitchen, where guests can prepare their own meals. It includes a refrigerator/freezer, a microwave, an oven with a stove top, a sink, and kitchen utensils. A lovely dining area is provided for enjoying group meals. During colder months, guests can use the pellet stove (after instruction from the host) and outdoor fires are possible as long as the host is consulted first.
Outside, guests will find a deck which is furnished with a table and chairs, a great place to enjoy a couple of drinks in the evening, watching the sun set over the most magnificent surroundings, including mountainous terrain interspersed with grassy fields and forested areas.

It is nearby Whitewater Creek and Kannah Creek, and there are several historical sites in the area including Bloomfield Site, Land’s End Aboriginal Site, and Land’s End Observatory. This luxury yurt is tucked away in Unaweep Canyon, which is beautiful and unique because it is settled between two creeks. This is a fantastic opportunity for hiking, and guests can visit the Wildcat Trailhead, which starts on the canyon floor and finishes at the rim of Uncompahgre Plateau. After wandering through oak, aspen, and ponderosa pine trees, guests will enjoy stunning views of the canyon below. If guests are looking for more hiking destinations, they can head south to Gateway Canyons Resort. Other wildlife activities include biking, rock climbing, rafting, and kayaking, and, of course, guests can simply spend their time wildlife viewing in the stunning natural surroundings.
