The retreat provides a basic but ample kitchen with plenty of cookware and utensils to cook up a feast. The living room is fairly large with a wooden-beamed roof and boasts a charming, custom-made, spiraling staircase that brings the room to life. The bathroom, albeit small and fairly basic, is fully functional with hot and cold water plumbing throughout the year. The retreat also has a raised balcony with comfortable seating for relaxed evenings. The living room is also home to a piano and a stereo with iPod connection to enjoy your personal music.

The area is recognized primarily for its challenging ski fields in Sandpoint attracting locals and tourists throughout winter. The terrain is also superb for mountain biking in the warmer months as well as attracting fishing enthusiasts with Lake Pend Oreille within easy walking distance from the property. Kayaking can be arranged in Hope at Pend Oreille Resort. Pontoon boats are also available for rent next door at Hope Marine Services for larger groups. Birdwatchers can keep their eyes peeled for the local osprey, eagles, and waterfowl while hikers are welcome to pick huckleberries from July through early September in the surrounding parks.
