Guests staying at the resort will have all of the splendor of the Island Park area at their fingertips. Targhee National Forest is to the south, and Yellowstone National Park lies to the north, and Henry's Fork River is right in the front yard. On the property, guests can fly fish on the river or go mountain biking on the many miles of trails that wind throughout the forest. At night, glampers can sit down for a gourmet meal at the resort restaurant, or stargaze in one of the fields beyond the rental.
Guests can then venture into the region of eastern Idaho, where they can hike to the Upper and Lower Mesa Falls or up Mount Sawtelle for views of Henry’s Lake and the Teton Mountains in the distance. In Targhee National Forest, guests will find an enormous network of hiking trails that lead up small mountain peaks that go through river gorges and timbered highlands that are home to grizzly bears, bison, wolves, and elk.
In Yellowstone, glampers can spend the day exploring the geysers and hot springs around Old Faithful or choose one of the more rustic paths that head into the wilderness, many of which lead to waterfalls, lakes, or secret geysers erupting in the pines. The area will also appeal to those with an interest in history, as both West Yellowstone and Ennis are home to historic centers and cultural tours that give a glimpse into the region’s rich, centuries-old past.
