This cozy and family-friendly log cabin is located in the heart of the Cabinet Mountains in Libby, Montana. It is tucked away on an acre of gorgeous, untouched wilderness in Kootenai National Forest, next to the Kootenai River and close to many pristine glacial lakes like Lake Koocanusa. This fantastic example of Kootenai log homes can accommodate up to four guests, perfect for small families looking for an adventure in the Montana wilderness.

Guests can find a queen-size bed in the downstairs bedroom while a double bed can be used in the upstairs loft. In the back of the log cabin, guests will find a full bathroom with a toilet, a sink, and a shower and bathtub combination. Soft linens and towels are provided.

After a long day of hiking through the Cabinet Mountains or rafting down the Kootenai River, guests can kick back on the couch and watch a DVD on the TV in the living room. They can curl up on the armchair with a good book and watch the snow fall through the window, or play board games around the small dining table for two. There is additional seating for four at the breakfast bar in the kitchen. The fully-equipped kitchen features a fridge with a freezer, a microwave, a toaster, a coffeemaker, and a stove and oven. Guests are free to use the washing machine, dryer, and ironing board for any laundry needs they might have during their stay. Other amenities include heating and air conditioning, Wi-Fi, cable and satellite, a telephone, a hairdryer, and a stereo.

On the deck, guests can grill dinner on the barbecue or eat meals outside. In the evenings, they can kick back on the nice patio furniture, breathe in the crisp pine air, and admire the majestic views of the snow-capped mountains rising over the lush evergreens and Kootenai River. The deck is also an excellent place to watch birds like eagles, and view wildlife like moose, bighorn sheep, and black bears as they pass through the forest and gardens surrounding the log cabin.

The log cabins are centrally located between Kootenai National Forest and the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness. Guests will have easy access to several miles of scenic hiking trails, where they can explore ancient forests of pines and red cedars, rushing creeks, and rugged snow-capped peaks piercing the Big Sky. Guests can cross the swinging bridge over Kootenai Falls, climb around the waterfalls at Yaak Falls, or go rappelling in striking, majestic canyons throughout the forest. In addition, guests can hunt for big game like moose, bears, and mountain lions inside the park.

Between outdoor adventures, guests can stroll through the town of Libby for shopping and dining, They can tour the historic Libby Dam and Heritage Museum, which catalog's the town's rich history as a mining and logging frontier settlement. Guests can take day trips to Glacier National Park, known as the "Crown of the Continent" for its rivers and streams that flow into far-reaching bodies of water, like the Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, and Hudson's Bay. At Glacier National Park, guests can explore vast acres of untouched wilderness, pristine alpine lakes, and dramatic snow-capped mountains on guided tours by boat, bus, hiking, horseback riding, or rafting. Guests can kayak down whitewater rivers, or fish and canoe along massive glacial lakes. Additionally, guests can go mountain biking or cross-country skiing, or rock-climbing up the rugged peaks and cliffs. When they reach the summit, guests can take photos of the breathtaking and dramatic alpine landscape.
