This romantic and rustic log cabin is located near the banks of the Kootenai River in Libby, Montana. Secluded by towering pines and cedars, the log cabin is in the heart of a vast wilderness in Kootenai National Forest, nestled within the rugged and snow-capped Cabinet Mountains. The log cabin can accommodate up to two guests, perfect for couples on a romantic getaway to the mountains, or solo travelers up for an outdoor adventure.

In a cozy upstairs loft, guests will enjoy sweet dreams on the comfortable double bed. There is enough space for luggage and belongings in a dresser and closet. The bed comes with soft, luxury linens.

Guests can descend a spiral staircase to lounge on a sofa or a pair of rocking chairs in the living room. Here, they can watch a DVD from the video library on the TV, read a good book, or play a fun board game. The living room also includes a dining table for two and a large mirror on the wall. In a nook on the other side of the living room is a fully-equipped kitchen. The kitchen comes with a fridge and a freezer, a stove and oven, a microwave, a toaster, and a coffeemaker.

There is one full bathroom with a toilet, a sink, and a shower and bathtub combination. Towels are provided. Other amenities include heating and air conditioning, Wi-Fi, cable and satellite, and a washer and dryer.

Outside, there is a private deck with nice patio furniture and a propane barbecue grill. In the mornings, guests can sit out with a cup of coffee and a homemade breakfast, and enjoy the majestic views of the mountains rising over the forest, and the gorgeous whitewater Kootenai River running by the log cabin. In the evenings, they can grill food and eat dinner outside as they watch families of moose, deer, and bighorn sheep pass through the pines around the log cabin.

Guests will have access to a boat launch on the Kootenai River, making it easy to spend a few hours fishing for trout outside the log cabin. They will also have access to a secluded, wooded picnic area with a fire pit right by the edge of the River.

Guests will be within walking distance of many lakes and streams, like Lake Koocanusa, and the banks of the Kootenai River. Guests can launch their boat from the dock to spend a few hours fishing on the lake. They can also canoe and kayak around the lake, or go fishing and rafting down the river. In the summer, guests can swim and sail on Lake Koocanusa. Around the log cabins, guests will have the chance to spot wildlife like deer, moose, black bears, and bighorn sheep. They can also watch birds like eagles and herons.

The log cabins are centrally located between Kootenai National Forest and the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness. Guests will have easy access to several miles of scenic hiking trails, where they can explore ancient forests of pines and red cedars, rushing creeks, and rugged snow-capped peaks piercing the Big Sky. Guests can cross the swinging bridge over Kootenai Falls, climb around the waterfalls at Yaak Falls, or go rappelling in striking, majestic canyons throughout the forest. In addition, guests can hunt for big game like moose, bears, and mountain lions inside the park.

Between outdoor adventures, guests can stroll through the town of Libby for shopping and dining, They can tour the historic Libby Dam and Heritage Museum, which catalog's the town's rich history as a mining and logging frontier settlement. Additionally, guests can play tennis at a community recreation center, and golf at a local course by the Cabinet Mountains. In the winter, guests can visit Turner Mountain Ski Area for downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling. They can also go snowshoeing and ice fishing.

At Glacier National Park, guests can explore vast acres of untouched wilderness, pristine alpine lakes, and dramatic snow-capped mountains on guided tours by boat, bus, hiking, horseback riding, or rafting. Guests can kayak down whitewater rivers, or fish and canoe along massive glacial lakes. Additionally, guests can go mountain biking or cross-country skiing, or rock-climbing up the rugged peaks and cliffs. When they reach the summit, guests can take photos of the breathtaking and dramatic alpine landscape.
