Glen Lake is a picture postcard mountain lake. Warm in the summer for swimming, large enough for boating and ideal for fishing, one can have it all without having to travel far. Come winter, the blanket of white snow covering the lake is perfect for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. Perhaps guests can even clear a patch to do some ice skating or try their hand at ice fishing.
Local marinas offer boat launches and rentals and make a good starting point for a day on the lake. Waterskiing, wakeboarding, and jet skiing are good ways to get the adrenaline pumping and whitewater rafting is sure to offer some thrills and chills (maybe spills) as well.
Leisurely days out can be spent walking, bird watching, horseback riding, or sightseeing. Scenic drives are a great way to see the beauty the area has to offer. Hiking, golfing, and mountain biking are other options for more active recreation. The nearby ski resorts are not to be forgotten. Slopes of all shapes, sizes, and skill levels await avid skiers and snowboarders during the winter months.
The town of Eureka has a great rural Montana vibe. Its long Main Street is lined with shops and restaurants and plays host to many terrific events. Enveloped by The Kootenai National Forest and backing on to Glacier National Park, Eureka is the ultimate destination for avid outdoorsmen and nature lovers alike. Year-round "paradise" is what one will find in Montana.
