Monument Valley

Ever since the dawn of mass communication, Utah’s Monument Valley, a location that truly deserves the overused epithet “iconic”, has featured in media ranging from classic westerns to computer games, to the extent where this dramatic region with its evocatively eroded buttes and mesas, 5000 feet above sea level, has almost come to define the image of the American West in the popular imagination. Nothing, though, can prepare one for the sight of these vividly colored rock formations glowing red in the evening sun, their wind-sculpted shapes resembling the architecture of a lost city, however familiar they may be from Hollywood. The nearby town of Ojalto provides a service center for visiting the region, and offers fine glamping accommodations in the form of traditional Navajo Hogan domes, making for a truly unique glamping getaway. Whether you are a photographer, hiker, horse-riding enthusiast, or sightseer, head west this vacation!
