Ashford

Ashford is a small town in Windham County, Connecticut. The town itself is charming, with a history dating back over two centuries, and plenty of shops and restaurants for when you fancy a night off from cooking, and some incredible 19th-century architecture. It is close to the lovely Ashford Lake, one of the cleanest lakes in the state - which makes it ideal for those glampers who just love swimming, fishing, and boating on clean freshwater! It's also close to the Nipmuck State Forest, a lovely recreation area with 9,000 acres of land. Here you can enjoy numerous well-maintained trails ideal for hiking and biking, as well as go boating, cross-country skiing, hiking, hunting, and picnicking.
