The first floor bathroom contains a bath/shower combination with a closet washer and dryer. The second bathroom is accessed directly from the master suite and holds a stall shower and a clawfoot bathtub for guests to relax after along day of adventure. The vacation rental has been outfitted with amenities to make guests feel as comfortable as possible during their stay. Location + Surroundings
To the east of the lake, guests will find Salmon River State Forest, where they will find hiking trails, fishing spots, and Comstock's Bridge, which was built in 1840 and is the only covered bridge that still remains in eastern Connecticut. At the south end of the lake, guests will find a variety of shops and restaurants in downtown East Hampton. The cottage is only 26 minutes from Hartford, where guests will find the nearest international airport and attractions such as the Mark Twain House and the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art.
From downtown East Hampton, guests can hike or bike the scenic Air Line Trail State Park. Plan a date night with dinner at the Gelston House, followed by a show at the historic Goodspeed Opera House on the CT River. Glampers can dine, shop and try their luck at Mohegan Sun Casino. They can also visit the shops at Marlborough Barn for some comfort food from Sadler's Ordinary. Nearby, Belltown Hill Orchards is the place to pick seasonal produce like apples, blueberries, cherries, and peaches.
The property is within 35 miles of Bradley International airport, Glastonbury (11 mi.), Hartford (20 mi.), and Middleton (9 mi.).

Right from the cottage's dock, guests can go swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boating on Lake Pocotopaug. The cottage provides guests with a complimentary canoe, sit-on-top kayaks, and a paddleboat, as well as life vests and lake towels. Paddleboards and fishing boats can be rented from Happiest Paddler.
For hiking, guests can head to Salmon River State Forest. Here, they will find the 6.7-mile Salmon River Trail and a portion of the Air Line State Park Trail. The river and its tributaries also provide opportunities for fishing, and the surrounding land provides grounds for hunting.
