Goshen
Goshen is a charming small town in Litchfield County, Connecticut. A large portion of Mohawk State Forest runs through the town. Mohawk State Forest encompasses over 4,000 acres of lush forest ideal for hiking, picnicking, and winter sports. Check out Mohawk Mountain for astounding views of the surrounding region, as on a clear day it is possible to see all the way to Mount Greylock and the eastern Catskills. Check out the Black Spruce Bog, one of the few bogs in the state, or Hervey Brooks Pottery Shop and Kiln Site for a better understanding of the history of the region. Sunset Meadow Vineyards, Miranda Vineyard, Thorncrest Farm and Milk House Chocolate, and the Action Wildlife Foundation are also well worth a visit.
