Nestled on the shores of Moosehead Lake, Beaver Cove and the towns around it are a mecca for avid anglers. Landlocked salmon, lake trout, and smallmouth bass fill the waterways and make for successful fishing trips. During summer, the vast network of hiking and biking trails are waiting to be explored and include the well-known Appalachian Trail. Lily Bay State Park offers trails, wildlife spotting, and boating, and is the ideal spot for a day out with the family.

During winter, the area becomes an action-packed playground for the adventurers. Big Squaw Mountain Ski Area is on the north side of Big Moose Mountain and offers beautiful views of Moosehead Lake when skiing down the runs. For something unique, the ice shanties found on the numerous lakes in the area offer anglers an exciting fishing adventure in winter. In Beaver Cove and Greenville, glampers can enjoy a slower pace and visit an array of restaurants, cafes, and shops, as well as the art galleries and museums in the area.
