This pet-friendly cabin on Six Mile Lake, Maine, sleeps up to five guests and is the perfect spot to enjoy a peaceful getaway. The lakeside cabin is decorated with rustic twists provided by the original owners, who built the cabin approximately 25 years ago after having camped on the property for many years. With two acres of land and dense woodland surrounding the rental, dogs will love exploring the area.

The cabin has 250 feet of private lake frontage for guests to enjoy in almost total seclusion. Loons nest on the lake and can often be heard and seen from the cabin.

The cabin is laid out in a studio style. There is a double bed on the main floor, and for extra guests, there is a double mattress and a twin mattress in the loft. The kitchen is well-equipped with cookware and utensils. The dining area has a table big enough for all five guests to sit down and enjoy a meal together.

Outside, there is a deck set back from the water with 2 rustic, wooden Adirondack (lounge-type) chairs. Guests can sit out and enjoy the views, or head to the second deck that is on the water's edge. Guests can enjoy afternoons canoeing on the lake and then return to the cabin and light up the barbeque (gas grill) for a dinner enjoyed out under the trees. A wood stove is available for chilly nights, along with an outdoor fire pit. Plenty of dry firewood is provided.

The hosts have provided a canoe for guests to use, with two adult-size life jackets.

The lake water is very clean and can be used for washing dishes and taking "camp-style" showers in the outdoor enclosure. You should bring in all of your water for drinking and cooking.
