This vacation rental in Mid-Coast Maine is a unique yurt accommodation that can accommodate two guests—perfect for a New England couple's getaway! It’s 600 square feet, and there is a bedroom area with a queen-size bed, a sitting area with ample light, a basic kitchen (featuring a refrigerator and electric stove), a dining area, and a full bathroom. The beautiful beams and ceilings rise above the areas, and there’s a large round skylight that lets light in even on the darkest days.

The yurt is heated by a few monitor direct-vent heaters and passive solar. There are also privacy screens that guests can easily roll down, although it might not be necessary, because the yurt is quite secluded. Open the windows for some fresh air, and don’t worry about bugs—there are screens in place already. Outside the yurt, there is a deck for sunbathing, reading, or simply taking it all in.

Other amenities include a washer and dryer, heating, a flat-screen Smart TV with DirecTV, free Internet access, and a barbecue.

One of the best things about this yurt is that by staying here, guests will have unlimited access to the ocean via a private wharf. Feel free to bring some chairs and sit on the harbor, or grab some kayaks and get out in the water!

Linens are provided. Other amenities include a washer and dryer, heating, an electric stove in the fully equipped kitchen, a flat-screen Smart TV with DirecTV, free Internet access, and a barbecue.

Because of the cabin’s great location, you’ll have access to a nearby marsh that’s perfect for kayaking and canoeing. Nearby towns include Port Clyde Village, Tenant's Harbor, and Camden.

Maine is famous for its lighthouses, and glampers can easily go touring from lighthouse to lighthouse. In fact, the famous lighthouse from the cult classic, "Forest Gump," is located in Tenant's Harbor! There are also many festivals in this part of Maine, including the Maine Lobster Festival, the Wild Blueberry Festival, and the North Atlantic Blues Festival, to name but a few. Be sure to try the lobster and other seafood while in town, too!

While this property is pet-friendly (upon request, please inquire), not all of the beaches in the area are dog-friendly, so please check each beach's regulations ahead of time.
