Located in Becket, Massachusetts, this unique and rustic camping cabin can sleep two guests. Inside, guests will find a queen-size mattress. There is an outhouse next to the cabin, but shared bathroom and shower facilities are found a three-minute hike away in the main lodge. Bedding, linens, and towels are not provided, so guests will have to bring their own.

The cabin is furnished with a wood burning stove to keep glampers cozy in the winter months, when it becomes the perfect place from which to explore all that the Berkshires has to offer: skiing, hiking, and sightseeing. Although the interior is rustic and simple, those staying in the cabin have free access to the main lodge. The main lodge has a fully-equipped kitchen to prepare meals, with a grill and a seating/dining area. Every morning, guests take a scenic three-minute walk to the main lodge, where they can enjoy a hearty breakfast included in the rate.

Outside the cabin, there is a small deck with a chair, perfect for sitting back and taking in the natural surroundings. Although there is no electricity or running water in the cabin, the host will supply a gallon jug of water and one light. The property offers extensive display gardens, which are comprised of a breathtaking array of over 1,000 plants. As nature dictates, the changing of the seasons brings a change in bloom, and colors vary vastly depending on the time of year. The property has a main lodge, where there is plenty of outdoor patio space to sit, relax, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Breakfast is included in the daily rate, and can be enjoyed in the dining area of the main lodge from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. with lunch available during the winter from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. There is also a restaurant at the main lodge in the summer, which offers everything from New England favorites to vegetarian selections. The Berkshires in Massachusetts is a beautiful and often overlooked mountainous area of the United States. The glamping site is just over two and a half hours away from Boston and New York City, but this verdant region really lives up to the storybook image of rural New England. In the winter, there are over 22 kilometers of skiing trails to be enjoyed at this glamping site, and guests can try their hand at skiing, skating, and snowshoeing. There are many ski instructors who offer lessons for those staying here, and equipment can be hired at the main lodge at a reasonable rate.

There is plenty on offer during the summer and fall. During these seasons, guests can bike, swim, and hike. For those who simply want to relax and unwind, the site is surrounded by acres of beautiful gardens. Music events, garden tours, and guided hikes through the foliage take place throughout the summer. Guests can bring their own bikes or rent kayaks on the property to make the most of the state parks.

Glampers are more than welcome to make use of the wood burning stove during the winter, and wood is provided by the hosts. It is suggested that those who are not accustomed to these stoves seek instruction from the hosts, as they can be tricky to start.

There is a fire pit at the lodge, and the host asks that guests use this to light outdoor fires and not in the woods. Read more
