This lovely retreat features one bedroom and one bathroom. The bedroom has a heavenly queen-size bed outfitted with crisp cotton sheets to ensure guests lull off into a restful slumber after a day sheering llamas and hiking through the gorgeous wilderness. There is also an armchair where guests can get lost in a good book and a table where guests can sketch or write a journal entry. The private bathroom is located across the hall and features a shower, a sink, and a toilet, as well as soft towels.

Outside, there are acres and acres of land glampers can hike and bike through. The property also features a replica of Henry David Thoreau’s cabin where guests can read in the early afternoon.

This off-the-grid retreat has everything guests need for an unforgettable stay. The host provides fine linens and plush towels. The vacation rental is completely solar powered, so guests will be able to charge their electronics and enjoy some modern comforts. Guests have access to communal areas, including a fully-equipped kitchen where they will be able to enjoy a complimentary breakfast every morning. Breakfast includes delicious granola, fruit, yogurt, coffee, and tea, as well as a warm dish, which varies by season. There is also a communal living area with two plush sofas where guests can curl up with a good book or simply admire the beautiful views.

Outside, guests will find a working llama and sheep farm. Furthermore, they can wander the vast acreage, which features a reproduction of Henry David Thoreau’s cabin mentioned in “Walden.”

Glampers can help the host with their daily chores and get a taste of farm life. Guests can help sheer llamas, pick raspberries, or help weed the garden, before heading to the replica of Henry David Thoreau’s cabin to read a good book. With many trails located on the property, guests can hike or bike through the rugged terrain and admire the local flora and fauna, including Bald Eagles, deer, and Turkey Vultures. Nature enthusiasts can also head to one of the several nearby conservation areas, including Robert Hill Conservation Area where they will be able to bike and hike, as well as kayak or canoe the nearby rivers. In the winter, guests will have countless opportunities to ski or snowshoe the area before heading home to warm up by the wood-burning stove.
