This historic cottage can sleep up to nine people. It has four bedrooms with a total of two queen-size beds, one double, two single beds, and one twin roll-out bed. A fully-equipped country kitchen with brand new cabinets, granite countertops, and flooring is also readily available for guests to cook up a storm. There is also a large, comfy living room with a gas fireplace. There are two bathrooms; the downstairs has a new shower and laundry area, and the upstairs bathroom has a historic clawfoot bathtub with hand shower. Exterior gathering spaces include a screened porch at the front of the cottage, and a large deck at the back, with a large yard with plenty of space for lawn games. The family-friendly cottage near Boston is just a short walk from a private sandy beach on the lake, where guests will find a floating raft, dock and canoe.

Guests will find everything they need to enjoy their glamping vacation. This includes a few extra blankets, kitchenware, a booster seat, a crib, and a highchair available upon request.

Wood for the fireplaces is available in limited quantities. Guests may split and/or cut more from designated stockpiles.

Each cottage has access to a waterfront with dock and swimming area and the use of a canoe. There are miles of trails and sandy roads that lead out from the property to the neighboring natural areas. Guests can also ask the hosts about local activities, nearby nature trails, and fun excursions.

Carved by the retreating glacier, the mile-long lake offers clean, clear water for fishing, excellent canoeing and sailing, and swimming beaches. With the accommodations having waterfront access, guests can spend the whole day by the water's edge. In spring there are stocked salmon and trout. Extensive nature preserves, cranberry bogs, and sandy roads offer places to walk, hike, and bike nearby.

The rentals are also close to Plymouth and Cape Cod's tourist destinations, ocean beaches, wineries, and award-winning golf courses.

During July and August, the next-door neighbor, Pinewoods Camp (a folk dance and folk music camp), invites guests in for a Sunday evening program of folk music and folk dance. These begin around 20:00. To attend, guests should ask the manager for information.
