This stunning four-bedroom cottage located on the shore of a salt pond leads out into Nantucket Sound and Chatham's Cockle Cove Beach and adjacent Ridgevale beach in Massachusetts. This lovely cottage accommodates up to eight guests. Blanketed from the noise and bustle of the center of Chatham, this glamping property looks out upon over an acre of coastal wilderness and a wildflower meadow. It is nestled on a kettle hill right along saltwater fed Taylors Pond, creating a quiet paradise.
The main bedroom has a comfortable queen-size bed with a private bathroom attached and view of the pond. The second bedroom has a double bed that has its own egress to nature, and the last two bedrooms each have a set of twin beds. There is a second full bathroom complete with a shower and a bathtub, as well as an outdoor shower for a total immersion into the sounds of nature, the glorious sunsets and puffy summer clouds above.
The living area was designed for comfort and warmth, a respite from the beach, with a quality sofa and seating that guests can easily snuggle into in front of a brick hearth fireplace. Two full screened sliding glass doors open the living room, dining area, and kitchen to nature and lead out onto a full wood deck from which to lounge, take in the purifying salt air of Cape Cod and observe the pond wildlife in private. The kitchen comes fully equipped and is ideal for guests to prepare delicious meals of local seafood and still enjoy the water view in this open floor plan. The entire cottage is furnished to elegant standards with a custom vaulted ceiling in the living room and wall paintings by local artists.
The private deck is spacious and features a large gas grill, ideal for entertaining while admiring the most spectacular sunsets in Chatham over the glittering pond. Pets and children can play freely on the grass lawn that leads out onto the shores of the pond. The intoxicating surrounding wilderness invites guests to enjoy the outdoors with kayaking, hiking, fishing, beach-going or meandering along the local nature path all within walking distance of the cottage.
