For those willing to head further, they can venture south towards White Mountain National Forest. Here, there are streams and rivers to fish in, lakes to go boating in, and miles of wilderness to explore by foot. Winter sports are exceptional in the forest with skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and tubing available.
