It is surrounded by peaceful woods in a secluded location right on the water. It is about three miles north of Grand Isle State Park and five miles south of Knight State Park. Other natural attractions in the include Sand Bar State Park, Sand Bar National Waterfowl Management Area, Alburg Dunes State Park, and North Hero State Park.
