This cozy cabin rental is located near Craftsbury, Vermont, and can accommodate six guests for a relaxing, outdoor recreation-filled getaway to a site with a private beach on Caspian Lake, surrounded by woodlands and multi-use trails. Overlooking the lake from its position atop Barr Hill, where it was built in the 1920s, the cabin consists of three bedrooms, a full bathroom, a kitchenette, a living room, and a covered porch.
Guests will find two full-size beds in the first bedroom, another two full-size beds in the second bedroom, and two twin beds in the third bedroom. The bathroom features a vintage clawfoot bathtub with a shower. Linens and towels are provided. In the living room, guests will find a sofa, a table with chairs, and a wood-burning Franklin stove. The retro kitchenette comes with a two-burner range and a sink.
Outside, guests will find a covered porch, a pair of Adirondack chairs, and parking right by the cabin on a private drive. The cabin is situated close to the main lodge of the site, and it is just a five-minute walk away from the site's private beach on Caspian Lake.

At the main lodge of the property, guests will have access to a variety of shared facilities both indoors and outdoors. Indoor facilities include a bar, a dining room, a living room with a fireplace, and a game room. The bar is open every Friday and Saturday night, offering cocktails, wine, beer, family-friendly pub fare, and live music. It also opens for many special events.
When the bar is closed, the dining room is open for guests to enjoy self-catered meals in its spacious, 60-seat setting. Here, guests will also be served a daily breakfast, which consists of muffins, pastries, baked eggs, fruit, and a choice of coffee, tea, and/or juice. From July through mid-August, dinner options are available from Thursday through Monday.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the lodge's common spaces, and cabin guests are welcome to use it.
Outside, guests will find a tennis court, a private beach on Caspian Lake, a ski hut, a Queen Anne wraparound porch with seating, and hiking and cross-country skiing trails that wind through the lodge's 136-acre property.

This property is located at a bed and breakfast lodge and cabin site in Greensboro, Vermont, where it is situated on the shores of Caspian Lake in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom region. With 136 acres of property and direct access to the 789-acre lake, the site provides guests with the ability to explore and enjoy the great outdoors without having to get in the car to drive anywhere, with a range of natural environments and outdoor recreational opportunities awaiting them right outside the door.
Surveying the grounds, guests will find a mixture of forests and wetlands with hiking trails and groomed cross-country skiing trails woven through them. The latter marks the beginning of the Greensboro Nordic Trail System and are connected to the Craftsbury Outdoor Center, where guests will also find mountain biking trails and ponds on which they can go sculling.
The site also boasts the longest private beach on Caspian Lake, the pristine waters of which lend themselves to aquatic recreation and provide a habitat for salmon, yellow perch, smelt, bullhead, pumpkinseed, and a variety of trout, along with the loons who dive to catch them. Other part-time and full-time residents of the lake and its surroundings include moose, deer, wild turkeys, kingfishers, and a variety of migrating birds.
The cabin is located about an hour from three ski resorts: Jay Peak, Stowe Mountain Resort, and Burke Mountain, all of which are based in towns that play host to an array of attractions in addition to world-class skiing, such as restaurants, pubs, spas, shops, art galleries, and an indoor water park. Dining, imbibing, and shopping options can also be found in the surrounding towns of Greensboro, Craftsbury, Glover, Albany, and Hardwick. Right at the 136-acre site on which the property is located, guests will enjoy a variety of activity options both on land and water.
On land, guests can take advantage of the site's hiking and cross-country skiing trails, which connect with the Greensboro Nordic Trail System and the Craftsbury Outdoor Center. At the latter, guests will also find trails for mountain biking, with more opportunities for mountain biking and fat biking to be found at Kingdom Trails in East Burke. Guests can also play tennis at the on-site tennis court.
On water, guests can go swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, canoeing, boating, and water skiing on Caspian Lake in the summer. The lake is also a prime spot for fishing year-round, with salmon, yellow perch, smelt, bullhead, pumpkinseed, and a variety of trout to be caught.
For skiing and snowboarding, guests can hit the slopes at ay Peak, Stowe Mountain Resort, and Burke Mountain.
For dining, imbibing, and entertainment, guests will find options right at the on-site dining room and bar, the latter of which is open on weekends and hosts special events. More options can be found in the surrounding towns, particularly Hardwick.
