Stockbridge

Stockbridge, Vermont is located in Windsor County, handily close to many of Vermont’s best-known ski resorts such as Okemo, considered one of the US’s best family-friendly ski resorts, and Killington, whose 250 annual inches of snow and 3,000 foot vertical drop, the second largest east of the Rockies, have made it a firm favorite. Nearby are a range of museums ranging from historic farmhouses to the 18th century home where the state of Vermont’s constitution was created and also the Green Mountain National Forest, which offers hundreds of miles of trails through dense old-growth Appalachian forest and rolling hillsides, including sections of the Long and Appalachian Trails. The less adventurous will also enjoy the charms of strolling through the New England countryside, or simply relaxing by the barbecue or in the hot tub in one of these elegant, traditional cottages and cabins.
