Healy

Healy is the best place to stay if you're interested in exploring the rightly world-famous Denali National Park and Preserve. As the closest full-service, year-round community to the park, it is the most convenient base for any adventurous glamper. A mere 11 miles north of the entrance to the park, this small town offers several restaurants and cafes, along with numerous sightseeing operators to make your exploration of Denali National Park and Preserve convenient and easy. From Healy, you can easily go dog-sledding, organize a tour, or simply relax in between adventure-packed days in the park. Check out the Stampede Trail, a rugged track used primarily by snowmobilers, mushers, and skiers in late winter - as well as the site of Jon Krakauer’s "Into The Wild".
