Although secluded, this area is still bursting with outdoor activities year-round. In the warmer months, Moose Pass is the place to be for hunting and fishing, with the Russian River fishing area just half an hour's drive from the property. Guests can bring their own gear along with them or rent some from one of the establishments nearby. Chugach National Forest has plenty of trails for the keen hiker to explore, so boots are a must. Locals agree that the best way to view the Kenai Peninsula is from the air – several companies offer aerial tours and are well worth checking out. Each June, the residents of Moose Pass put on a Summer Solstice celebration, coming together for food, games, and music, with the proceeds going towards community endeavors. Nearby Seward is full of great things to see and do, with spots like the Alaska Sealife Center, Kenai Fjords National Park, Resurrection Bay, Holgate Glacier, and Mt. Marathon just waiting to be explored. Animal lovers can spend the day dolphin and whale watching, while thrill-seekers can go zip lining, kayaking, and canoeing.
