Comfortable Rustic Cabin Rental with a Sauna and a Fire Pit on Alaska's Kenai River
This comfortable and rustic cabin rental is located on the Kenai River in Soldotna, Alaska. Situated on the Kenai Peninsula, the cabin is a couple of hours away from national parks and the city of Anchorage, as well as the Cook Inlet and the Gulf of Alaska. It can accommodate up to 14 guests, making it a perfect wilderness retreat for family vacations and group retreats.
There are three cozy bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed and spectacular views of the river and forest outside. Children can sleep on a pair of twin-size beds in the fourth bedroom. Each bedroom contains a closet and a dresser. In the loft, couples can watch a DVD on the flat-screen TV before falling asleep on one of the three comfortable king-size beds and waking up each morning to a gorgeous sunrise over the pine trees. There are two full bathrooms, each with a toilet and a double mirrored vanity. The first bathroom contains a shower, and the second bathroom contains a shower and bathtub combination. Towels, toiletries, and hair dryers are provided. Linens are provided.
In the living room, guests can curl up on two nice leather sofas and watch a movie on the flat-screen TV or the snow as it falls behind the windows. The living room is near a fully-equipped kitchen and dining room. The kitchen comes with a fridge with a freezer, a stove and oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a toaster, and a coffeemaker. Dishes and cooking utensils are provided. The dining table can seat up to six guests, with additional seating for four at the breakfast bar. To relax, or keep warm in the Alaskan cold, guests can visit the sauna beside the cabin. Other amenities include heating and air conditioning, cable and satellite, wireless internet, a telephone, and a washer and dryer.
Outside, there is an expansive, private back patio with a couple of picnic tables, a BBQ grill, and a fire pit. After a full day of canoeing on the Kenai River or rock climbing in Kenai Fjords National Park, families can roast marshmallows around the fire pit, cook and eat their salmon catches from the river, or just sit back and watch wildlife like moose and deer wander through the pine trees. Couples can stand on the wraparound upstairs balcony and watch the sunset over the Kenai River and snow-capped mountains.
Guests will have access to boat ramps, docks, and fishing piers on the riverfront. There is also a sauna and a picnic area with a fire pit. Free parking is available onsite.
Each of the rentals come with a living room, a kitchen, and a dining room. Free Wi-Fi is available in each of the properties. All of the cabins provide guests with easy access to the river.

The cabins are close to the banks of the Kenai River, which is famous for its fertile populations of king salmon, pink salmon, chinook, and steelhead. Guests can go boating and fishing along the river, as well as canoeing and kayaking. Additionally, there are a few miles of scenic nature trails cutting through the woods around the cabins. Here guests can go walking, hiking, and biking. They can take photos of the gorgeous Alaskan landscape, watch birds and view wildlife, or stop for some yoga and meditation in the heart of nature.
The cabins are located near two national parks, Chugach National Forest and Kenai Fjords National Park. At Chugach National Forest, guests can hike, bike, view wildlife, and enjoy picnics or scenic drives. In the winter, guests can go skiing and snowboarding in the Kenai Mountains. At Kenai Fjords National Park, guests can go fishing and kayaking along glacial lakes, or hiking and rock climbing on dramatic, snow-capped peaks. During the winter, alpine trails will be open for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.
Guests can also go boating and kayaking along the Cook Inlet or travel out to the Gulf of Alaska for whale watching tours. For more fun on the water, guests can drive up to Skillak Lake for more boating, canoeing, and kayaking.
