Kealakekua Bay is minutes from the lodge and it is one of the most popular places to visit in Hawaii due to its history and pristine beauty. It is a Marine Life Conservation District, which means guests who love swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving will be able to see a vibrant and bountiful world beneath its crystal clear waters. There is also a great chance of seeing dolphins and sea turtles in the bay. Exploring the beaches by kayak is also a great way to enjoy the bay and paddle through the same waters where the legendary Captain Cook first set foot in Hawaii.

Kona is also famous for its coffee and Kona Coffee Living History Farm is a great place to visit for those who love all things coffee. Visitors who want to know more about Hawaiian culture and heritage must check out Pu'uhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park, which is a protected settlement for all islanders who broke ancient laws.
