They can sunbathe or have picnics on the volcanic black sand, watch tropical birds in the palm trees, or catch a spectacular sunset over the ocean. Additionally, guests can go deep sea fishing, scuba diving, paddle boarding, and jet-skiing. They can sign up for boat tours to watch whales and see more of the Big Island's breathtaking coastline.

    Pahoa is 15 minutes away from Kapoho, known for its protected coves and thermally heated tide pools. Guests can swim or snorkel in the pools to see rich marine wildlife like starfish, sea turtles, and bright coral reefs.

    Guests can visit Hilo, a large and historic town about half an hour away from Pahoa. Hilo has many shops, restaurants, golf courses, and day spas.
