This beautiful island offers countless things to do. There are various beaches depending on how far guests want to travel. The Kehena Black Sand Beach is a perfect choice for sunbathing, swimming with dolphins and whales, and to enjoy a drum circle on a Sunday. The Ahalanui Warmponds is a site with a geothermally heated warm pond and is serious bucket list material. In addition, guests can head along the Red Road which is often referred to as one of the most beautiful coastal drives on the island. More traditional entertainment is on offer at the weekly farmer's markets or at Uncle's Awa Bar in the town. Guests can drive to Volcano National Park and explore the trails there or visit Lava Tree State Park. Mauna Kea is a great spot to see the sun rise as it is the tallest mountain in the world when measured from under sea level.
