Guests staying at this deluxe lodge in the Iao Valley will enjoy a luxurious vacation of relaxing and sightseeing on the beautiful island of Maui. At the lodge, glampers can enjoy complimentary breakfasts each morning while gazing at the mountains just beyond the property or embark on a small hike on one of the trails around the area. The state park just two miles away boasts a number of challenging hiking trails that ascend into the mountains, and it is also home to the Iao Needle, a 1,200-foot tall rock formation that attracts large numbers of tourists and hikers every year. At the nearby Mendes Ranch, glampers can book horseback riding tours of the island, or they can head to the Maalaea Harbor on the coast to book a fishing charter trip or a whale watching trip.
At the Molokini Crater, which is about 40 minutes from the property off of Maui, glampers can go snorkeling in the morning before spending the afternoon at one of the island’s pineapple or sugarcane plantations. The Maui Ocean Center is also an often frequented location, or glampers can opt to explore the Haleakala Volcano, which tours over the island about an hour and 20 minutes to the south. Each month, Wailuku also hosts a “First Fridays” event, with live music, food trucks, performances, and art exhibits set up outside for visitors to enjoy.
