Situated just off the grounds of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, this location offers some exquisite hiking trails through the forest trees and meadows in the summer, and during the winter months, it is conveniently located close to sledding hills, cross-country skiing, and close to Northstar, Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley ski resorts.

Mount Pluto can be found a few miles northwest of this cabin rental and is a haven for hiking, climbing, and skiing enthusiasts. In the summer months, there is a whole host of hiking trails between Mount Pluto and the surrounding hills. During the winter months, it becomes an active skiing area and attracts a wide range of tourists.

Guests are also encouraged to rent stand up paddle boards or kayaks and skim across the calm and clear water of Lake Tahoe during the summer months. During the summer months, downtown Truckee has a street fair every Thursday evening that includes a farmers’ market, live music, kids’ activities, and a beer garden.
