This bright and spacious cottage sits above the seashore in Albion, California. It was originally built as a stagecoach stop in the 1860s and has retained its character while being renovated. Newly remodeled and bathed in natural sunlight, the living room is the perfect place to relax. From the fireplace, soft carpeting and comfy couches, to the ocean views in the distance, this is where guests will love to unwind at the end of the day. Heading into the kitchen area, guests will find that it is fully stocked to handle any of their culinary needs. There is plenty of counter space and cabinets, and room for two cooks in the kitchen. At the end of the day, when guests have finished the last glass of wine and desert out on the deck, they will love going to rest in their comfortable beds. There are two bedrooms in this seashore cottage, one with a king-size bed and the second with a queen-size bed. Situated on in a peaceful field, on the northern California coast in Albion, this coastal property offers guests stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and an amazingly green meadow surrounding the property. A few miles up the road, guests will find two of the best restaurants in northern California—the Ledford House and the Albion River Inn Restaurant—they shouldn't be missed. If guests head a little farther north, they will reach Mendocino. Mendocino is a great place to explore, not only for its restaurants, galleries, and shops but also for an afternoon of enjoying the fresh coastal air. From this location on the California coast, guests have an abundance ways to fill their days outside. The countryside surrounding the town of Albion offers plenty to do and when guests have covered it all, they can hop in the car or on the bike and head up to Mendocino for some new adventures. Popular beaches in the area include Glass Beach, Albion Flat Beach, Big Salmon Creek Beach, and Navarro Beach. At any one of these beaches, guests can go swimming, surfing, paddle boarding, or simply have a walk and look for shells or sea glass. To the north of the property lies the Mendocino Headlands State Park. The park has a unique mixture of pleasant, easy trails, rocky coastline, secluded beaches, and above all, amazing views. It's a great place to bring a picnic and spend the day hiking with the family. Inland lies the Navarro River Redwoods State Park that runs along the river, following it out to the ocean. Guests can follow the river to the coast, as they hike among the redwood forest that hugs the banks of the Navarro River. Those looking for a more relaxing day along the coast can hop in the car and drive along California's Highway 1 for some scenic views and amazing photo-ops. Anderson Valley, nearby, has some amazing wineries, like Toulouse Vineyards or the Phillips Hill Tasting Room, where guests can end their scenic drive.
